Brother International (NZ) Limited (BINZ) markets Brother branded finished goods, spares and consumables, nation-wide. BINZ operates a sales office in Auckland, principally to service the Northland, Auckland and Waikato markets.

Our head office and warehousing operation is situated in Gracefield, Wellington, also providing after sales services through a Technical Help Desk and a national warranty system via authorised sub-contractors. The Corporate Solutions Centre is in the Wellington CBD and dominates the Wellington skyline.

BINZ is fully owned by Brother International Corporation (BIC) Japan in turn owned by Brother Industries Limited - the ultimate parent and listed on the Japanese stock exchange.

BINZ communicates directly with, and places orders to BIC at all times, and the product is shipped to BINZ from the numerous Brother factories situated around the world.

Brief History of BINZ:

• BINZ was formed in 1957 as Brother Distributors Limited.
• It became a publicly listed company in 1960.
• After a take over in 1985, Brother Distributors became a subsidiary of Broadway Limited.
• In 1990 Brother Distributors Limited became the sole suppliers of Telecom fax machines in New Zealand and currently provide full logistical and service support.
• Became Brother International (NZ) Limited when sold to Brother International Corporation Japan in July of 1992.
• BINZ became an ISO 9002 quality assured supplier in January 1997.
• BINZ also became the first Asia Pacific Brother entity to obtain ISO14001 environmental certification.
