About Onslow Medical Centre.

Onslow Medical is a busy healthcare General Practice in suburban Wellington. They have 25 staff and just under 11,000 registered patients, relying on printing to service patients efficiently and for daily business administration.

Challenge.

Onslow Medical Centre offers a full range of family healthcare and occupational health services. They pride themselves on providing a high-quality service in all aspects of their business, including first class medical care and overall patient experience.

The centre relies on printers for just about every patient it sees, including to print patient notes, prescriptions, referrals or a combination of the three. Admin staff also do a lot of reporting for partners, as well as printing hard copy workplace policies for around the practice.

They operate in a fast-paced environment with high patient demand, so have low tolerance for slow printing or printer issues. They don’t need anything fancy or technical, they just need printers to work reliably and be easy to operate. Any efficiencies that can speed up printing or admin processes are highly valuable.

 

Solution.

Before coming to Brother, the centre had a range of frustrating printing issues, all of which took time to resolve and impacted their ability to process patients efficiently.

Paper jams and equipment issues were common, and customer service was unhelpful. Without reliable monitoring of printer toners, they would routinely run out. Issues could be highly stressful for clinicians, who would find themselves having to deal with the latest problem rather than seeing patients.
