1. Defined Terms
1.1 In this document:
Authorised Brother Reseller means a reseller, authorised by Brother to sell Brother products in New Zealand.
Brother means Brother International (NZ) Limited. Physical address, 27 Matarawa Place, Tauriko Business Estate, Tauranga 3171. Postal address. PO BOX 248, Seventh Avenue, Tauranga 3140.
Cashback Amount means $50 New Zealand currency.
Claimant means an individual or entity eligible to participate in the Back to School Promotion.
Eligible Product means any machine that is identified in the Eligible Cashback Product Matrix and which has been purchased in New Zealand from an Authorised Brother Reseller during the Promotional Period.
Eligible Cashback Product Matrix means the matrix in clause 5 of these Back to School Cashback Terms identifying each Eligible Product.
General Cashback Terms means the terms and conditions that apply to all cashback promotions.
General Promotion means the Brother cashback promotion(s) made available on the Brother website at www.brother.co.nz from time to time.
Promotional Period has the meaning given in clause 3.
Valid NZ Bank Account means an active New Zealand Bank account in the name of the Claimant.
2. Application of Terms
2.1 These terms and conditions (Back to School Cashback Terms) and the General Cashback Terms located on Brother’s website at www.brother.co.nz (together the Terms) apply to this Promotion (Back to School Promotion). In the event of any inconsistency between these Back to School Cashback Terms and the General Cashback Terms, these Back to School Cashback Terms will prevail.
2.2 By participating in this Back to School Promotion, the Claimant agrees to be bound by the Terms. If the Claimant does not agree to be bound by the Terms, they must not participate in this Back to School Promotion.
3. Promotional Period
3.1 The Back to School Promotion will commence at 12 am on 31 December 2025 and continue until 11:59 pm on 15 February 2026 (Promotional Period).
4. Eligibility
4.1 Eligibility to participate in this Back to School Promotion is governed by the General Cashback Terms.
5. Eligible Cashback Product Matrix
5.1 The Claimant may make a claim under this Back to School Promotion in relation to any the following Eligible Products:
6. Claim Process and Payment
6.1 The claim process and timeline for receiving payment of the Cashback Amount under this Back to School Promotion are governed by the General Cashback Terms.
6.2 All claims must be submitted within fourteen (14) days after the end of the Promotional Period. Claims submitted after this period will not be processed.
7. Claim Conditions
7.1 The Claimant may make multiple claims during this Back to School Promotion, subject to the following:
(a) No more than two (2) claims can be made per Claimant across all Eligible Products purchased during the Back to School Promotion.
(b) Multiple claims that use the same invoice details may be rejected at Brother’s discretion.
(c) If the Claimant returns an Eligible Product for which they have already received a Cashback Amount, they must return the Cashback Amount to Brother.
7.2 Each claim must be submitted in accordance with the Claim Process specified in the General Cashback Terms.
8. Verification by Brother
8.1 Brother may, from time to time and at any time following a claim, take reasonable steps to verify the eligibility of any Claimant or the validity of any claim at any time. Acceptance of a claim or payment of a Cashback Amount does not constitute a waiver of Brother’s right to review, audit or invalidate a claim. If Brother reasonably believes that the Claimant is ineligible or a claim is invalid, Brother may reject the claim and seek repayment of any Cashback Amount already paid. Brother’s decision on eligibility and validity is final.
9. General terms
9.1 This Back to School Promotion cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other offer, including any other cashback promotion or rewards program.
9.2 Except as expressly varied or modified by these Back to School Cashback Terms, the General Cashback Terms will apply.
