1. Promoter
The promoter is Brother International (NZ) Limited ("Brother").
2. Promotion Period
The Brother New Zealand Sewing Content Creator Search opens at 9:30 am NZST on 17 August 2026 and closes at 11:59 pm NZST on 20 September 2026. Applications received outside this period may not be considered.
3. Programme
Brother is seeking New Zealand sewing content creators to participate in an ongoing content creator programme.
Successful applicants may be offered an engagement as an independent contractor for an initial four (4) month term. Subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement, the engagement may be extended.
The anticipated monthly deliverables include:
- Two (2) Instagram Reels; and
- Five (5) high-quality images,
created using Brother sewing equipment.
Remuneration will be negotiated individually with each successful applicant and recorded in the Content Creator Agreement.
4. Eligibility
Applicants must:
- be 18 years of age or older;
- reside in New Zealand;
- have a public Instagram account;
- follow @brothernewzealand on Instagram from the public Instagram account used to apply;
- regularly create original sewing-related projects; and
- be willing to create content featuring Brother sewing equipment.
5. Selection Process
Applications will be assessed by Brother based on factors including content quality, sewing ability, audience engagement, brand alignment and overall suitability for the programme.
Submission of an application does not guarantee selection.
Brother's decision regarding the selection of participants is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Brother reserves the right, acting reasonably, to reject or remove any applicant from the selection process if the applicant's content, conduct or public behaviour has the potential to adversely affect Brother's reputation, brand, values or commercial interests, or is otherwise inconsistent with the image or standards Brother wishes to promote.
6. Successful Applicants
Selection as a successful applicant does not create a binding engagement with Brother.
Any engagement is conditional upon:
- the applicant and Brother agreeing the commercial terms of the engagement, including remuneration;
- the applicant entering into Brother's Content Creator Agreement; and
- compliance with any other reasonable onboarding requirements notified by Brother.
The Content Creator Agreement sets out the commercial terms of the engagement, including payment, deliverables, content approval requirements, intellectual property rights, content usage rights and other contractual obligations.
7. Brother Equipment
Content created as part of the programme must feature Brother sewing equipment.
Where a successful applicant does not own suitable Brother equipment, Brother may provide a sewing machine and/or overlocker for use during the engagement, subject to the terms of the Content Creator Agreement.
8. Independent Contractor
Participation in the programme does not create an employment relationship. Successful applicants will be engaged as independent contractors.
9. Privacy
Personal information collected as part of the application process will be used by Brother to administer the selection process and the content creator programme and will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and Brother's Privacy Policy.
10. General
Brother reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, extend, suspend or cancel the Content Creator Search, or verify the eligibility of any applicant for the purpose of administering the programme.
